Why Clerfy exists
The hard part of immigration paperwork is not filling in the form. It is knowing which procedure applies to you, which documents your situation needs, whether what you collected is still valid, what happens after you file, and how the pieces — the period of stay, the special period, MyNumber, your bank, a trip — fit together as one event in your life.
Clerfy exists so that one person, with one account, can always answer: what do I need, what is missing, what happens next, and when do I act.
How we build it
Clerfy is not a chatbot. At its centre are a model of your procedure, a rule engine that applies the published rules to the facts you enter, a model of your documents, and a timeline. Every item you see traces to the official page it comes from and the date it took effect.
AI reads your documents, explains and translates. It never decides a rule, a deadline or whether something applies to you — those come from the deterministic engine, so the same facts always give the same answer.

Today Clerfy covers procedures in Japan, one rule set at a time, each reviewed before it goes live. The same account and the same engine are meant to carry you through the next procedure, the next status, and — in time — the next country.
Your procedures, documents and timeline belong to you. An employer or a school may one day pay for Clerfy, but they never own it and never see what you have not chosen to share.
What we hold to
Primary sources only
Rules come from the official pages of the Immigration Services Agency and are watched for change every day. Never from forums, never from guesswork.
Deterministic and traceable
The same facts give the same checklist, and every item shows the rule, the source and the effective date behind it.
Never a prediction
There is no score and no "you will be approved". When the rules call for individual judgement, Clerfy stops and points to a professional.
You own it
Your account is not tied to an employer or a school. Family members sit under your account without a sign-in of their own.
Privacy by design
Documents are stored privately and opened through short-lived links. The Individual Number is never stored, and nothing is used to train AI models.
Narrow and deep
Each procedure is added as a complete, source-checked rule set rather than a vague answer to everything. What is not covered says so.
Who builds Clerfy
Clerfy is an independent product built in Japan, currently in free field testing with a small number of users. Rule sets are reviewed before they are marked active. Operator details are on the Terms of Use page.
